Derby County give complimentary tickets out to the local companies to hand to their employees. Its why they can maintain attendances above 25000.

It’s the only way forward Ian,
Why have a stadium looking empty ?

Lots empty spaces last night despite freebies and have you seen Sunderland recently top tier empty may have x amount of ST holders but like us they're mot attending.....but agree we should be doing everything to put bums on seats but have noticed lack if incentives this season compared yo other seasons

26,000 midweek!
When have we hit that even for a weekend game?

There's going to be a big decrease in ST holders next season.
With the way we are run, and now a lot of games being moved, it's just putting people off.

Cardiff City also do this.

Maybe if they offer cheap tickets too often, they'll deter people buying a season ticket in the future. They should offer cheap season tickets to begin with, fill the place.

You could be right with all these changes -and the way the show is run

A few free tickets to fill the ground for our final few home games is going to cost them a lot less than going down.
A better atmosphere and more noise behind the team could make the difference.
Those who get free tickets would probably buy food and or a pint or two in the ground anyway.
Mad to see that he’s happy to sit there with a half empty stadium with very important games coming up.

They are as clueless as the owner and manager.
Missed opportunity to get lots more revenue with the kits and merchandise in our 125th year. The wiggly worm still remains on the away kits and most of the merch. Sales would have been a lot higher if the home bluebird badge was on everything and I reckon if they recreated the Robin Friday yellow/white stripe home kit it would have been our best selling replica kit ever. More missed increased revenue and not rocket science.
Poor ownership, broken promises, lies, narcissism, cultural differences, poor decision making
Poor communication
Poor team management, coaching and medical recovery
Poor marketing
Poor stadium management
All equals Poor league position

Couldn't agree more and these years of ineptitude, indifference and lack of investment or connection with the fan base, sadly leads us to what I predict is the League 1 doldrums, where we'll stay for who knows how long.
