“Our pre-season set up and matches never helped us either.”

“I would like to talk about next season, but I haven’t been able to yet.”

“Currently, me and my staff, we talk all the time. We talk about pre-season, what it needs to be, players with recruitment we need to bring into the club to strengthen," he said.

“The stuff I just mentioned regarding what the club looks like, we talk about it regularly.”

"As a club, we haven’t had the chance to do that yet because we’re in this position. We need to get out of this position first. In general, if the club has got a plan in terms of a timeframe for certain things to be achieved, that would help. Hopefully moving forward that will all start to happen.”

“Right-back Perry Ng will not make the trip to Loftus Road after sustaining an injury against the Owls, while Anwar El Ghazi is also unlikely to feature against the west London outfit, either.”


In better news, top-scorer Callum Robinson, who was omitted from the squad last week, and winger Chris Willock are both back in contention
