A forum for all things Cardiff City

This situation has made me ill it’s so frustrating everyone can see Riza is not the man to go forward we needed someone after Bullut went, the board pretended to have an agency searching for the right manager knowing all along Riza was getting the job. When we asked what the plans were going forward after we had no appointment and try to engage they appoint Riza. How can we get them out of our club ? Is boycotting season tickets the way? I know we have no power over these owners that never attend matches but how do we get our point across. The way things are I wish I never fell in love with the city.

I don't think not buying season tickets would work. You'd need around 5k not to buy one for it to make a real impact, and that won't happen. I'll be there next season whatever happens, because I support the club and not the ownership.
3,000 not being a season ticket wouldn't matter to them enough. They'd just use it as an excuse for the cost cutting they'll be doing anyway.
What needs to happen is a proper protest, bringing numbers of around 8,000. That would take a huge amount of organisation and promotion to ensure that many took part.
Alternatives are what other clubs' fans do. So a bit amount of fans walking out when the clock hit a certain number, or not going to their seat before that minute. Other things that different fanbases have done includes throwing tennis balls on the pitch on a certain minute.
Fans of other clubs have also held signs or flags up in the stadium calling for the owner to go - but Wayne Nash probably wouldn't allow that. Could work at away games though.
But it would have to be something like that for it to have a real impact and to be noticed on a UK wide scale, which it would need to be.

Great ideas Worcester , could we get a gofundme or something set up to get scarfs with Tan Out and flags to hand out to protesters ? We could hold them up at various minutes in the game all stand up and chant get out of our club.

I’ve said before the only real way to make a difference is a boycott of games and season tickets but as you say that would have to be en masse to make any difference at all.
Tennis balls, etc is a lot of nonsense and wouldn’t influence Tan one jot.
A proper protest was tried but the numbers were pathetic with half of them walking to the match anyway and a few hundred left outside the reception. Nothings happened since.
I mean no disrespect to the organisers and those that took part but they’re battling against the apathy that runs through the fans, the team and the club.
I’m a positive person and still believe we can stay up although, obviously, the odds are against us!
If we do end up in League One I think there’ll be little point in a boycott of games as the ST’s and crowds will drop immeasurably anyway.
Right now the club and the fans are doing a great impression of The Walking Dead!

I am constantly thinking about fresh ideas to voice change against this deaf stubborn narcassistic incompetent gross mis management.
I just think with all Tans wealth, there was something in a post I saw on here the other day that touched a nerve. Where a poster reminded us of some Tan statements around the time of the filthy rebrand. Threatening to withdraw if we dont accept the rebrand changes, how our blue colors and bluebird has hardly brought us success, some ridicule from him there. His way or the highway.
But more interestingly how we are poles apart in culture, and how its all about honour and respecting Malaysian beliefs and culture. This hints to me that this at the core of why he he has disengaged with us a long time ago, refers to us as customers, has witnessed protests against him and probably received feedback on all the social media comments against him, and as a consequence has a grudge almost as we have disrespected him and sees us as ungrateful. Who knows if this is the case, if it is, this might explain his crazy unrealistic valuation of us and how season by season the investment in the coaching staff and team declines year by year, maybe he can just afford to keep us as a tiny part of his empire and tax set up, and therfore doesnt really give us much thought. I am not clued up on all that stuff, maybe those who are on here can give me their opinion on this, in case its wide of the mark!
It just baffles me how a succesful billionaire remains so stubborn and does not surround himself and listen to outside experienced knowledgeable football voices to help his business investment in CCFC flourish. This is a man who wanted goalkeepers and defenders to shoot more, for managers to take his call at half time as if he is some kind of football expert, If I inherited a billion, and bought a business I knew nothing about, lets say an American football team then I would hire people from within that industry to run it to increase the odds of success and sustainability, like the actors have done at Wrexham.
How do we get change at the club? I think we need to realise we are dealing with a very stubborn individual who needs to surround himself with yes men to feed his ego, from a different culture to ours. It upsets me to read many staunch bluebirds even saying they would take relegation to rid this man and his awful decision making regime from our club. I certainly have lost many friends who refuse to attend home games while he is at the club.
I will march, I will participate in whatever we collectively come up with to voice for change even if it a walkout on 60 mins or means not renewing next season and just doing away trips and cherry picking home games, I never thought I would say that. The hiring of the awful Bulut was bad enough, never mind McCarthy, Hudson etc, but the inexperienced mixed up Riza, an absolute rookie, who currently looks like a beaten jaded rabbit in the headlights, to appoint him for a relegation battle against experienced managers who we could have employed was Tans second maddest decision of all behind the despicable red.
I fear for us bluebirds, we deserve so much better

You need not worry .if we go down to league one there will be a huge sea of empty seats which tan can admire as he's watching on TV .will look worse than the 3 to 4 thousand we used to get at Ninian as the CCS is a much bigger ground so 8000 in there will still look empty

Great posts guys . I think regular protests might encourage more to join don’t give up because it didn’t go right keep building it up. Walk outs to the concourse is good too just don’t buy anything down there . Tan out scarfs would be easy to take in if we can find a way of getting them made.

Ned all protests do is make a statement and thats about the best a fanbase can do.
Chances are we will be down by the time we play our last home game against WBA. For me that will be an ideal time to have such a protest. My preferrence there would be Tan Out banners and 100s of them. Some organising that will be.

Well 500 scarves were handed out at the previous march. If anyone wants to buy another 500 printed scarves they cost around £4300.

Some were for the protest, some were against but most were just apathetic. I haven’t seen any sarcastic comments on here unless I’ve missed them.

Invade the pitch. Take out the corner flags and gather at the tunnel. You'd need good numbers to make a proper statement but interrupting the game for a long period of time would make the headlines.
