Omer Riza: “If we beat QPR on Saturday, we are with in two

Fri Apr 04, 2025 6:40 am

Omer Riza: “If we beat QPR on Saturday, we are with in two points of them.”

"We've got a game coming up this weekend and it's one we need to win," said Riza.

"QPR, if we beat them on Saturday, we are within two points of them.”

“Our aim is to pick up points to stay out of the bottom three.”

"Of course it's paramount we stay up. Of course I want to stay here, it's a massive club and I've loved every minute here. But we've got to look at what's in hand and that's to survive."

Riza's interview yesterday was beyond belief - deluded. The only person backing him at the club now is Tan, even Choo wants him gone.

Borley sits on the fence and now again slates the loyal Vity fans for speaking out, I believe Dalman never wanted to appoint Riza from day one.
Neil Lennon and one other manager were lined up to come in before the international break, Tan vetoed it.
I do think if we lose badly to QPR tomorrow, Riza will go before the Preston match next Tuesday.

Back it up with actions then fella. Reeling off the usual coaching/management lines before and after a game isn’t going to keep us up.

Results will keep us up so be true to your word AND GO FOR THE WIN! Draws will not keep us in the division.

So we had two managers lined up?

Even Omar Rizas wife don't trust him, yesterday she caught him getting three eggs out of the fridge, she asks him what are you going to do with those eggs, he replies Im going to make us an omelette, she then replies come on Omar you got to beat an egg to make a omelette and you couldn't even beat QPR or Luton.

As bad as it sounds maybe losing to QPR will push him off but then again we may just end up with Purse which is even more depressing. Apart from that 6-1 drubbing a few years ago the games have been pretty tight and we beat them last year with a pretty poor team so depends which team Riza picks and if he decides to put Tanner in goal this week. :bluebird:

Ffs only need to look at table shows he ballsed it up like Saturday's result ? If won that we would be 3 places higher and same points as 2 others that's how tight it is and why wins are what's required not draws! We lose Saturday we will highly likely go down draw and it gets harder to stay up win and other teams will have bigger worries than us...

You know the last 15 minutes of a close play-off semi final. Where the players leave it ALL on the pitch. Lamouchi's lot had that in our last relegation scrap.

Anyone seen this urgency yet from this lot??

Riza needs to switch it up a bit and realise he's in as much of the shit as the rest of us. The man is sleepwalking off a cliff

Wba Norwich are possible points if we play with conviction but would not want to rely on last game at Norwich to stay up.... but qpr stoke and Oxford are the wins we need to be safe ... and they are winnable unquestionably.

Regardless of everything else, I really fancy us for a 2-0 win up there and a draw (at least) on tuesday up at PNE.

Agree now is the time to press the fact they're on bad run and Preston indifferent wasn't that good other night ..... even a win Saturday will enhance our position and have other clubs looking at relegation...
