I can already see it coming: “we haven’t lost in 4 games now.”

Meite is fighting to be fair to him. He’s getting stuck in and having a go. Shame more aren’t

Oh, I agree.
I’m not knocking him at all.
Since his criticism, he’s come out firing, credit to him.

But, Riza is taking us down unfortunately. Not confident at all.

If he had showed that effort regularly he wouldn’t have been criticised like he has . :old: :ayatollah:

Very true.

But he put in more effort tonight than most of them.

Agreed. But he is now. And now is when we need it.

Simply because hes playing where he hasn't been all season and that's central ... all season he's come on or started out wide now he's more effective playing where he should be centre forward

After all the criticism Meite has received this season its could be that the three points earned by his goals against Blackburn and Preston are what keep us up.

Can’t fault his commitment and fight over the last few weeks he’s done well

What you can fault is the absolute garbage performances over the previous 2 1/2 years

Maybe Meite should start alongside Salech on saturday?? Robinson, although our top scorer doesn't seem to be up for the fight and his work rate is shocking.

Am I reading the OP correctly? You would have preferred that Meite hadn't earned us a much needed point and we lost.......?

It'll be the accumulation of points, not just the ones Meite had a hand in. Ironically, it's more realistic that his lack of goals when given opportunities will be the reason we go down as opposed to this statement.

I disagree, Meite has always put a shift in the difference is he’s playing in his correct position now.
He’s not a winger!

Is he the answer for us? No but you can’t criticise his effort.

He seems to be better as an impact sub, rather than a starter.

Since his hissy fit a few months back he’s put the effort in when called upon I’ll grant him that .My job is to weld pipe if it leaks I get crucified, his job which he’s paid very well for is to score goals which he hasn’t done enough of :old: :bluescarf:

I agree, he hasn’t and he’s been extremely poor for us as a winger.

Yes thats the impression from it and it's not the first post that indicates people want us to lose get relegated to suit agenda....
Last couple of games he's played where he should be at centre forward not right winger hence the two goals scored he was in middle.

You'd rather lose than pick up a valuable point? Strange take when we're in a relegation battle

Re: Thanks Meite

Over his Cardiff career, including his recent purple patch of 2 goals for us in 2025..

5 goals, 1 assist over 69 games so 11.5 appearances per goal.

Salech (who Meite should be challenging for the starting place) has outscored him with 6 in 17 appearances.

"oh but he's played more on the wing"..... 1 assist in 2 years.

If we lost 7 nil Riza would still be here he’s untouchable

Agree with this.

Aarrrgghh and ‘get fucked’ when we pick up a point instead of coming back with nothing just sums up how some people think.

Riza isn’t going anywhere until at least the end of the season.

Exactly, playing where he should be. He got on the end of the lovely cross........ it's not often I've thought that this season.....or last......
