5 AT THE BACK NEVER AGAIN

Please don' t play 5 at the back again this season to many getting in each others way what a wasted 1st 45 mins sitting back we need points attack attack attack no more 5 at the back.

You need two athletes either side of a slower centre half for this to work and we don't have that. Daland is lost in a 3

We don't have the players to do it well enough.

I think everyone called it when the line up was announced. The team cant play it. At least he changed to 4 at the back at half time. Give him some credit for the switch but it's like playing with 10 men with Riza in charge.

DisasterLand shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team squad. Fish has improved recently, Goutas unfortunately now prone to too many errors. Give Bagan a go (at least he has pace) or play Ng at centre back for a bit more mettle in the tackle.

Collectively, if you play all of the above, AND Mannesverk AND Chambers.... then you simply cannot be as open as we were at the back. 7 defensive unit meant we were sitting ducks, but surprisingly able to get cut open at will (against a shite side)

A number of stupid errors by all also, just shows that they are playing in absolute fear.

Riza needs to relax them, realise that the above doesn't work, and stop us leaking goals!!

5 at the back can work and be an attacking formation with the right players and coach.

But I agree with you we should definitely dump that idea at our club.

the worst thing about going 5 at the back against Preston is we have actually scored more goals than them this season, so why would he be scared of them

I agree, we have far too many talented midfielders to be playing a back five. The only time I have seen it work is when Perry and Bagan played there with Fish in the centre against Plymouth, this is because they both have pace. But overall we should stick to a four.

The same old problem is I don't think anyone knows what our best back four is. Darland has looked awful since coming back from injury, so I would either have to say Fish and Goutas or Fish and Bagan. Although Rino and O'Dowda are out of position they seem to be our best options there at the minute but there is a lack of continuity as we constantly chop and change. No wonder we are leaky and disjointed.

Players we got suit 4-1-2-3 . We really need our wingers to get balls into the box to Salech, also we need our full backs to put in some deep swinging crosses like PNE second goal last night. Its not really rocket science.
