Vote your Man of the Match v Preston North End @ Deepdale StadiumA very disappointing performance overall, in which we again showed our fragile defending, was tempered by two very good equalising goals from substitutes William Alves (51 minutes) and Yakou Meite (90+4 minutes)
Ultimately, it was a point well gained but even more question marks hang over Bluebird manager Omer Riza and his erratic team selections. Once again, we set up to defend with no less than five (
it doesn’t work for us!) and got undone. Only in the second half and a couple of positive substitutions, did we look a little better
A couple of good performances out there for me, including centre back Will Fish. However, the man who changed the game was substitute William Alves and tonight he gets my vote!

Ethan Horvath for me. Made several important saves.
Alves and Robertson should have started and they must start on Saturday.

Fish for me, but some CLEAR starters and non-starters moving forward.
Based on last night (my opinion)...
Starters/In Contention:
Horvarth
Rino
Fish
Chambers
Ashford
Robertson
Isaac
Salech
Alves
Knocking on the door:
Meite
O'Dowda (terrible last night!)
Non Starters:
Goutas
Daland
Colwill
Mannsverk
Robinson
Breaking it down like this, more positive than not.
I'd go at Stoke with:
____________Horvarth
Rino (if fit)____ Fish______ Bagan ______O'Dowda
________Chambers_____Robertson
Davies________Ashford_____________Alves
_____________Salech
He won't, but these are the ones that are impacting games and look like they give a shit. Far more legs up front aswell; Colwill was a headless chicken last night.
Meite got the important goal, but I am unsure he has earned a start.

Colwill?? Really???
All opinions but I thought he was completely lacking effort.

That's why he is in the non starters list above!

What's your thinking on Mannsverk as a non-starter?

Meite for me which to be honest says it all about the “performance”

Horvath for me some great saves kept us in it

Had to go with Horvath.
Some important saves and kept us a point at the death.
Too many poor performances across the board.
Meite has rightly been criticised in his time with us but he looks to be playing with more passion than anyone else on the pitch when he comes on. Credit where it’s due.

It is difficult to choose when so many players were performing poorly for long periods. So many out of form which affects others. At least when they came on Alves Robertson and Meite were clearly up for it and to be fair you can never accuse Meite for lack of effort when he eventually gets on the pitch. His effort and the last minute and important goal makes him my choice.

I think it speaks volumes that the three leaders in this poll are two second half substitutes and the goalkeeper.
