I was baffled yesterday by how we played with the ball around our 18 yard line.
Too many times we saw players (Fish, Robinson, a few others) trying intricate little passes and flicks in really tight areas and resulting in losing the ball in dangerous areas.
We were lucky that the PNE players didn’t know where the goal was last night, and that Horvath was playing well.
No one likes boring football, but there comes a time when you have to just put your boot through the ball.
Watching how we played around our 18 yard line made it seem as though Riza thought our CBs were Saliba and Gabriel.
A more clinical side would have buried us as a result.
