Its been run properly
But the main thing is.. its not who they’re bought or the recruitment, it’s the way the owners brought the whole club together!

They get the big name sponsors such as United Airlines because of their big name owners, which has boosted their reputation.

Some won't like it but I can't stand Wrexham and I hope it ends in tears. Not to the point the club is in trouble but that they tumble back down the leagues.

They've effectively bought their way from non league to the Championship in three seasons - that's depressing.

Can only hope that the two actors lose interest when people get bored of the TV show about Wrexham.

But what they did do straight away was bring in Shaun Harvey. He's a footballing business expert so gave them good advice.

Tan is too arrogant to ever bring in advice which is why both clubs are going in a opposite directions.

I agree I don't like Wrexham either and if it wasn’t for the fact that Ryan Reynolds is one of their owners they would be hated as much as man city for buying their way out of the dungeon leagues, but I will at least give the owners credit, they run the club well

I personally can’t stand them.

But their Club is run correctly and the people in high places are close to their fans.

Good luck to them I say, good old fashioned club. No point saying fanbase only jumping on the bandwagon...no different to us in Premier League. I think they will find it a lot tougher in the Championship though if they do come up but good luck to them. :bluebird:

Never liked Wrexham but as has been said, they’ve clearly ran well. Thing is why did the Septic Tanks buy them. Cardiff have way more potential.

I'm also jealous of their feel good factor and success :laughing6:

I prey we stay up. Can anyone remember when us, Swansea, Bristol City and Wrexham have all been in the same division?

If we had been in the National League at the time Deadpool was looking, we would have been a shoe in to be bought.

They looked at a few clubs but the whole, "Welsh Club in the English System", was perfect for them. Much more fodder for the TV Show.

Yes i agree Annis. The club is run correctly and the Top men are close to their fans which is massive. Totally the opposite to OUR CLUB ! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :bluebird:

Yes Rodney, great for them but it just shows how bad we are being run.

Might be on my own with this, but I can’t get behind the ‘hope they fail’ opinion that some people have.

There are a lot of clubs who have bought their way to success, and if it was Port Vale or Grimsby for example they wouldn’t even get a mention by those people.

I agree with what Annis has said, it does show how a club should be ran.

It doesn’t matter if the owners are Famous in Hollywood or not, they have made the right decisions, increased the revenue, brought about togetherness within the fans and have employed someone experienced to do the football side of things.

Love them, hate them, or sit on the fence, it can’t be denied that they have done well with how they run the club.

Birmingham exactly the same with a couple of million more income than Wrexham... both clubs done ghis because of their owners as ffp not same in div 1! Won't have same leverage in championship so Hollywood duo are looking for buyers to take a majority stake in them so can progress otherwise be in trouble with ffp... but will say their ethos of running club is a reminder of how it should be done even if it does have a touch of Hollywood showmanship attached to it.

Not true.

A lot of people criticise other clubs who have bought their way up the ladder, me included.

That includes Birmingham and Wrexham this season.

But other examples are Salford, Man City, Solihull etc.

I don't like it one bit. Hopefully they come crashing back down to earth next season.

Ned their wage bill is roughly £16m 12th in championship terms ours is £20m around 7th in league....
Their wages are not supported by income they've been heavily bankrolled using div 1 easier ffp rules to fo it...

I’m the same, good on them and their owners have done everything right.

Plus, people here complaining about “money”, never complained when we put money into the team for the times we got promoted!

The amount of money put in by owners wouldn't be allowed in championship for them & brum either....be interesting to see how they adjust their finances to comply with ffp

Bang on. I have never met a Wrexham fan (or any gog really) say a good word about Cardiff. I do admire the enthusiasm of their hierarchy, I just wish our board would take note and realise our clubs potential.

Yes owners can put in a lot more money than in championship which is what Birmingham have done and to lesser extent Wrexham !

Bizarre and a loophole for someone like Brum.

They are bringing in new rules about wages to income or something similar but it is more relaxed than championship partly because there's a disparency of over £12m in tv income between championship
league one new deal should be negotiated but premier league stalling and not happy regarding efl wanting to abolish parachute payments....

Their success & their tv coverage has probably doubled the amount of Americans that even know Wales exists & know where it is. It has probably brought more tourism to Wales than the Welsh Tourist Board could dream of bringing from the USA and it cost the country zero effort & zero money, which in my eyes can only be a good thing & should be celebrated if only for that. Living in another country sure can give you a different perspective.

As with every other team in any of the 4 divisions they can only work within the rules laid out, which they have done to great effect. Sure the Hollywood allure helps them an immense amount, but let's blame the game not the players just because you may not like that fact.

On the other hand, if we end up in the same division as them (whichever one it is) I hope we smash them into the middle of next week & it's all over their tvs.

Fair play to them. Hopefully we'll play them for a bit of Welsh rivalry next season, Championship or League One.

I don't understand the hate. Rob and Ryan actually care about the club and the town. Surely that should be admired? We need more of that in the game.

I wish it was us but instead we got Vincent Tan who thinks we're "customers".
