small gas boiler - query

Thu Oct 21, 2010 10:22 am

after a bit of advice regarding the caravan gas boiler (not combi).

It supplies a fire/cooker/hot water for shower and taps.

The fire and cooker are fine but the water is not heating. I have adjusted the water pressure as I thought as it has recently increased it may be moving to quick through the system to heat it up (does not appear to be the problem).

It looks as though it is the temperature gauge. The water is calling for the gas when turned on and the gas is firing up....but it will not stay fired up for long. I think the gauge which governs how much gas is released and for how long is defunct (although I have no gas knowledge whatsoever !!!).

Is this an easy job to fix....? is it a case that I just need to look at getting a new gauge fitted/aligned ? or am I wide of the mark.

any advise greatly appreciated.

sounds feasable......if that has gone gas would still be provided to the cooker and fire (which it is).....I think you might be onto something there....cheers Krab
