If the Administration fails and Portsmouth go into liquidation , all of the player contracts cease to be assets of the club and transfer to the ownership of the Football League.

They become free agents who can negotiate new deals with other clubs on a free transfer basis and are not caught by the transfer window rules.

Other clubs will already be swooping around like vultures to pick over the bones.

That is such a shame that a great club like Portsmouth can be no more just like that! They are a club that are very similar to ours and have passionate fans like to ours. I work a lot at the Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth and the fans absolutely love their club. What has the world come to when a man who has no real affiliation with a football club can pull the plug it's just wrong in every sense.

sad day for all of football if they close

its sad beyond belief its the fans that suffer the ones turn up week in week out. We've had clubs go before but the magnitute of this will hit hard.
