My first game was against Man U in 1960. We won 3-0 but dont remember anything about is as was only 10 months old.
My next game was against Millwall in 1971. Remember alot about that as fairly Toshack scored our opening goal but we let in a last minute equaliser by a guy called Harry Crispen. Actually got a bit of a soft spot for Millwall but dont tell anyone.
So why do I support Cardiff? f**k knows but you choose your team.....and its for life.

Born in Cardiff, father/grandad City fans, my son a City fan, even my bro-in-law is a City fan. Just the natural thing to do.
I would not have it any other way.

Now answer the question. Why do you support Cardiff City?

In 1972 I was in Marshfield Juniors, when Cardiff City players came along and gave us free tickets to see Cardiff city v Bolton W. My Grandfather was down from Bury(his local team, who I had already seen 7 times) visiting was soon to move down here, He took me ,50p in for him. We went on the Bobbank, the crowd was about 9,500 and we won one nil, Gil Reese(local boy)scored and Cardiff fans went mental. The following season, Myself and my Grandfather had season tickets and I have never missed having a season ticket since then.
Our fans are different than most, we celebrate a goal like winning the facup

i remember the hereford game over 35,000 there, my old man used to have property in cardiff and used to go up every week to sort things out so he used to watch cardiff play and take me with him, thank god he did that because i live closer to swansea

"When I was young my father said: son I have something to say
and what he told me I'll never forget until my dying days:
He said - son, you are a city fan and thats the way to stay
happy to be a city fan until my dying days"
Same as Rhorkes drift, thank god he did or I could have been a gypo!!!

So i can waste £80 on following that dire shite tonight. Expensive ticket, expensive car park, expensive chipsa and coke for my lads. Fucked me right off that performance today. Sometimes its like watching them back in the dark days of the 3rd Div. ASt least Paul Millar and co used to run there asses off. Ledley should have been subbed. Why has DJ got a phobia about making subs? Ledley and rae be overrun but yet the manager cannot make a change. Yet all the fans can see it needing to be made. He just stands there deadpan. Not a movement. I woul;d be in that technical box shouting my ass off to f*cking pull there fingers out or they will be shipped out.

The first time i went to Cardiff was with few Airdrie lads and a guest from Wigan who know Cardiff lads, i can mind went to Cardiff v Swansea for the first time thinkit was 1998 , it was amazing to see over 500 lads in canton at 10am in the morning, Unibelivable and went to watch that game and start to like watch cardiff then after that, went back long journey home on bus and i realised it was good time like travelling and meet new people so i decided to went back down follow year for Cardiff v Swansea so i went down myself to trying to find a lad i knwo that i met him at last welsh derby game as i has lost his contract number then i was walking in every pub in town to find him then i met couples bouncers at the bough pub and ask him if he know the lad that i know, they knew him and told me to sit here and look after me until i saw a group of 20 lads walking into bough pub and that how i met Forever Blue for the first time via the aurthor of the soul crew book, these lads were great and well look after me....(i would like say thanks to the bouncers for look after me that night) then next day went to the game, it was mad and good day out, these lads made me very warm welcome, then i went back to cardiff again and again for next 6 years which i has real good memories there and nearly know every lads there... i ever got cardiff jersey in the house although it is in scotland but i am always look out for cardiff scores.... My apoglised for not coming down in last 3 years as i has got alot on my plate....The big gutted i have been is missed the wembley twice and see old ninan park knock down... i love these old ground it is passion... i am willing to coming back asap as supporter, i owe you all a favour canton lads for well look after me and of course there are 2-3 people who are gone but never forget them, RIP.... i am sure Forever Blue will remember that the sat night i met him for the first time was in the Brough pub... well let hope Cardiff are going to getting better and going up for premiership...

Of all the games that i've seen over the years the one that stands out for several reasons has got to be Hereford in april 76.We'd been through a baron patch over the previous few years & under Jimmy Andrews we were turning into a good side.I'll never forget walking on to the old Grange that night & hearing the tannoy asking people to move from the exits to let the crowds in.35000 there & the Grange chanting "Allison shut your mouth".Cracking atmosphere & a cracking game, made you feel proud of your club.I'll never forget that warm evening when after years of hurt it felt like we were back.
