2006 season

Played 13 Won 9 Drew 2 Lost 2 F 25 A 10 + 15 and we all know what happened then.

2010 season

Played 13 Won 9 Drew 2 Lost 2 F 25 A 11 + 14

But we are far superior this season in my opinion.

Big difference this season is we have strength in depth and our work rate tonight was phenomenal but this being Cardiff I will not celebrate untill we are 4 points clear with a game to go

Do we have strength in depth though? When we had players out we had some pretty poor performances and lost away twice. I think having players like Mcphail, Keogh and Koumas on the bench ready to step in is great but if they never play any football they are going to be seriously undercooked if not used. Why DJ didn't bring 2 more subs on after 70 mins last night I'll never know. Could have given some players some game time.

Our major problem I think is if Bothroyd gets injured/suspended. He is so instrumental to our style of play we would miss him hugely.

There's a definite feelgood factor about us at the moment, among players, coaching staff, fans and the club as a whole. I don't think anyone is thinking we're nailed on certainties for promotion but the feeling is we have the best chance we've ever had of getting into the Premiership

I've seen a few different teams' messageboards.. and the general consensus when talking about Cardiff is, and I quote, ' At least 2nd place is still up for grabs'

I know there is a long way to go yet, but I can't think of a time where we had a better chance
