That Lieutenant-Colonel Lord Ninian Edward Crichton-Stuart led a Battalion of Jacks at the Somme in the 1WW,the 6th Battalion of the Welsh Regiment.

As you can see, the 1/6th Welsh [Glamorgan] battalion, was formed in Swansea, Aug, 1914, so possibly true. Lest we forget!
