Jim Dricscoll wasn't from the "docks" he was from newtown. which was literally next to the bute east dock but not the "docks" as we know it.

I have read Jimmy Wildes auto biography a truly inspirational man. But at the end it was heartbreaking to read as an OAP he was beaten up by a gang of thugs at a railway station. Real hard men that wouldn't of been fit to lace the legends boots.
Also a cracking read is Jim Driscoll book which is called Peerless Jim, that is one hell of a read a true Champion. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

haha Its a bit like saying Shirley Bassey was from Tiger bay, She was from Portmanmoor Road. The thing was any place under the bute Bridge was known as down the Docks.
