Lately we have touted names to the press as smokescreens to put other teams of the trail and bought on the quiet, so I should imagine we were never after those two anyway.

Fingers crossed DJ has a few gems up his sleave like Routledge, Koumas & Johnson

Would they want to come here now? because our financial predicament is probably the talk of football at the moment, and where are wo going to get the money to pay for these players ? I suggest until this tax bill is paid we are going to find it almost impossible to attract decent players here. So Mr Ridsdale needs to pay and publicly announce that said bill has been settled in full pronto.

Nothing's been confirmed yet for Cousin because he's off on international duty at the African Nations Cup so all talk with him is speculative. Folan is shit anyway so not too worried if we miss out on him.

So is the News of the World responsible for the financial state of our club? No of course they are not, they have just highlighted it for us the fans, the general public and the football world.

Yeah, highlighted it in a very mis-informed and mis-guided manner. Listening and believing the red top tabloids is just as bad as listening and believing the jibber jabber that chairmen come out with.

Whether it is mis-informed or mis-guided as you state is just conjecture, however it does not hide the fact that our club is in a dire financial state and who would you have us blame for that? the The press? Radio? TV? the players? the fans? the answer is no, the ones ultimately responsible are those in charge of the purse strings at CCS - the fault should be placed firmly at their door and nothing will change until the people in charge of those purse strings are removed, in fact things are likely to get far far worse.

Sorry mate I wrote that reply in a hurry and it doesn't read very well, but when I mentioned Koumas, Routlede and Johnson, I meant they were really good deals at the time, and lets hope he can get some really good players in this time. I didn't mean re-sign them.

I'll just be glad when we are in a position to buy new players because if we are going to compete on a level playing field with the other teams at the top of the league then we need a few in. Sounds like we havent got enough to even clear the tax bill as yet though.
