Vince has already been in touch with the club offering help and OTHER INDIVIDUALS HAVE ALSO CONTACTED THE CLUB....THIS IS THE MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB.
I am happy to accept the supporters clubs generic offer to volunteer and help in clearing some areas to assist getting the game on – anybody who turns up should bring a shovel and be available from 9am.
Pitch (is fine) 1st Team have trained yesterday and will have another run out tmw.
Internal (we are happy) Terraces have been cleared of snow where affected and ice has been broken down with chemical. Thereafter the areas have been double sheeted down to prevent re-freezing. The worst case scenario would lead to us re-seating a limited number of seats in the Family stand.
External (needs further attention) turnstiles, exit gates and walkways are where we will pay further attention with currently half the ground acceptable.
Car Park (need council assistance) here we have an understanding with the council for them to grit the car park, despite the council being let down / struggling with their supply of salt they are helping and are going to plough/ grit in the morning.
TIME TO PULL TOGETHER

So much for Ridders claiming the game was definitely on then.
Relying upon unpaid volunteers isn't a clever idea really, most people are actually working.

Sorry, but i`m allergic to shovels..

I know its awkward to get out of the street for many fans due to the snow and many are in work,,,plus there has been some bad feeling about this week...but if you can help Tomorrow please try to get there...I will try to get there even if its only to supply the volunteers with food and hot tea.
It is our club, we want to see a game Saturday, so lets stick together and give it a go.

Pitch is perfect, but when I was there today the car parks were snowed under.

Is there any chance the game will be called off due to Blackpool being unable to get here? Or their fans?
