Would You Accept Losing Both Derby Games For Promotion?

Mon Nov 08, 2010 10:44 am

Well according to DJ we all would so what exactly is DJ saying here, for me given the squad he has at his disposal automatic promotion is a given as IMO anything else will be failure.

I believe this season will see us promoted and I was hoping for a couple of cherries on the promotion cake, firstly to go up as Champions and the second was to win BOTH derby games.

After yesterday it is clear that our team lacks the commitment, desire and passion for the derby matches, but thats OK as far as DJ is concerned as if we are promoted we will forget. I wonder if VT or TG believe the same or would they align closer with the fans and want us to win these games.

I can accept losing a football match at the end of the day it's just a game but what I cannot accept rolling over and letting our local rivals walk away from our ground with an easy 3 points whatever the prize later in the season.

When are we going to have a team who play not just for professional pride but for the shirt and above all else for US the fans. Sadly not as long as the Managers outlook is to accept losing derby matches with such ease.

I am no DJite and I never have been and right now I am beginning to wonder if a third cherry on the cake should be the back of this arrogent, predictable and unimaginative man.

If he went today how many managers would you think would be lining up to manage our club, with the playing squad and fan base, the phone lines would be red hot believe me and we shouldn't be afraid of the outcome should or when this becomes a reality. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

So do you accept the Swans parading around our stadium as if the own it at the end of the game, is that a price you willing to pay because thats what DJ is asking from you.

Why not just give them the six points, that way we wont risk injuries.

DJ is just talking a load of bollox cos he knows they stitch him up every time. Sorry but like most fans I do not want to be known as a quiter if DJ doesn't care thats up to him, however he will have to answer to VT at the end of the year and I dont think VT will accept that attitude.

Definitely take losing the derbies if it means promotion.

It hurts at the moment but nothing like I felt at Wembley in May only a few weeks after we had beaten the Jacks  It was no consolation I can tell you

That's it in a nutshell ridofrid DJ is saying we should accept a 44 game League season and gift our closest challengers an extra 2 games it's an unbelievably stupid comment. But thats DJ when pressure is put on him completely unpredictable, Carl says that VT is a ruthless business man I wonder what he felt about the millions he is spending and is DJ giving him value for money.

I would love to know what he is feeling at the moment :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Not only was it a derby game BUT 2nd versus 3rd so a positive result would have opened up a sizeable gap !
