Jobsworth stewarding

Sat Nov 20, 2010 10:37 pm

Not sure why but today the canton stand was flooded with stewards. Lads thrown out for banging the boards only trying to make an atmosphere and 2 were escorted out, on the way in some numptee blocking my way wouldnt let me continue going up the steps until i showed him my season ticket. FFS u have to use it to get into the ground, then show it to the stewards manning the entrance to the Canton stand, now their stopping you on the steps argggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

They were awful in the ninian today. Seems that any hint of atmosphere results in a bunch of little delusional yellow shirts coming over and thinking they own the place.

I was threatened with being thrown out today just because I was standing, and asked was she gonna ask anyone else, or just me. Absolute f*cking joke, making us look silly with our atmosphere. Scabs going sssshhhhhhh has to be the last straw.

They were there to make sure you was supposed to be in that stand. I got to say Im getting pretty pissed off with some people sitting in my seat (cosidering I stand in the Canton), then giving it the big one when I tell the cunts to move. I didnt pay all that money for a season ticket for someone else to have it. The last little scrott had a ticket for the Ninian as well.

Yeah, they were there to stop people from going into the wrong areas, which is fair enough? People have had their seats being taken by people from other areas. This "numptee" steward you refer to on the stairs checking tickets, I thought, was very approachable and explained to me why tickets were being checked. If only there were more like him then I'm sure the fan-steward relationship would be better. He was only doing his job, I doubt that he chose to be there. It's not much for them to ask you to check your ticket to make sure everyone gets the seat that they paid for! :D

In the family stand one yellow coated geezer behind the goal, was telling people to sit down whilst the injured player was lying on the ground for what seemed like 10 minutes.

With only 3 or 4 minutes left on the clock a lot of (cold) people stood up to stretch their legs, while quite a few others were actually leaving the ground. All were told to sit down. It was obvious the player was going to be on the ground for still quite a while as they had only just brought out the brace or strapping thing.

The bloke came across as a muppet as there is normally very little standing during game time in this stand. I don't think he was aware of what was happenning on the pitch.

The stewards had obviously been told to make a point.

I was with 7 of my friends and theres normaly 8, but he couldnt come because of work, soo i was going to stand were his seat is and the f*cking prick of a steward wouldnt let me go up, i explained the situation and he just said "No" and shoved me away, i was f*cking fuming as there wouldnt be no trouble with me in his seat as i had premision.

So i from 104 in the Canton too 106 In the Canton, Theres no way im standing there for 90 mins on my own looking like a tw*t, these stewards take the piss.

Pathetic. :ayatollah:
