RE : Borley loan - not so good news

Fri Jan 08, 2010 10:34 pm

shortly after Annis announced that Steve Borley was paying the taxman and helping our great club I text PR and below is the exact text mesages:

me : Peter there are rumours tonight that Steve Borley has stumped up that cash to pay the taxman. Is it true ? Carl

PR : NO

me : OK then has the money been secured to pay the taxman. Carl

PR : I've said all day that we will have ALL the money shortly and nothing to do with season tickets

me : I just hoped that the rumour was true so it would have been sorted sooner rather than later. Peter will there be investment this month ? Carl

PR : yes

me :Malaysians ? Carl

no reply

me : Is it the malaysians or new investors ? Carl

Borely hasn't denied it on CCMB, and Ridsdale wouldn't admit to it.

Cant see any denial from Borley, albeit I would guess hes not willing to take the praise as i) he doesnt like it, ii) other smaller investors maybe involved as well, iii) he doesnt like confrontation with Peter and other board members and just loves his football at Cardiff City.

Maybe you should have slightly rephrased the first question as I doubt if Borley has stumped up the cash just yet. You just gave Ridders a bit of wiggle room to evade your question. Classic Ridsdale that  what you should have said was - Peter there are rumours tonight that Steve Borley has promised to stump up the cash to pay the taxman. Is it true ? Carl

Or there is a pending land sale to the Malaysians? Once that cash arrives the tax bill is paid, embargo lifted, Zebra release the season ticket money and players are signed.
