We've been very lucky in many games, cov away, leeds away,(fumble and offside got us 2-0 up) norwich,(dodgy penalty straight after they scored) doncaster, (ran rings around us first half) millwall(battered us) and bristol city at home(2-0 after 10 mins shows dodgy defence), scunthorpe(deflected winner) away etc.
You can't be lucky all season and it shows in the "big" games.
I don't think we have what it takes to "cross the line"
So, heres one fan wo wont be totally shocked come May

Our defence should have been the main priority for Jones this season.
So he ships out probably our most talented, gutsy defender and keeps
Mark Hudson. Milk turns quicker than Hudson. Then gets Chris Riggott
instead? Sorry, but Riggott has been here five months now and has only
kicked a ball in a friendly. Jones' ploy is now obvious. Riggott was class
once, get him here, get him fit in time for the January window and we'll
have one of the best defenders in the division ready for the big run-in....
What a f*cking gamble!!!
Would it have been more of a gamble to heal the rift with Anthony Gerrard,
get him on the treadmill and start from scratch?
See Jones has this total belief in "its my way or the Highway"... commendable
if 'his way' is working. It evidently isnt. We have a group of brilliant players,
and apart from flashes in a handful of games... who have we dominated???
We put Donny to the sword with a Bellamy inspired performance, but that was
by accident. 4-4-2 was NOT working, Donny were all over us. Leeds away??
great win, but we could well have been losing that one by half-time, and we
all know our record for coming from behind and winning.
We should be THRASHING teams. But no matter who we play, their manager
will send them out with the same game plan
"keep it tight at the back, and go hell for leather up front cos they WILL give
you plenty of chances"... and we do.
Jones has nobody but himself to blame for our defence, he got them all in.
The players now can all see that Jones team selection and tactics are falling
short, and we have got problems. I dont see them going away.
What if Jay goes off after 5 minutes tomorrow and is out for weeks???

Yeah Gerrard is 'gutsy' alright. The reason he's not here is that at the start of the season he wasnt as good as Hudson, Gyepes and probably Blake -and that was his own fault. in the friendlies and against Burton he looked awful. Given his comments in the paper after the play-offs I'm not sure the rest of the players would have wanted him around either.
I also thnk its rubbish that we should be thrashing teams, - looking at the likes of QPR, Leicester, Forest, Pompey, Burnley etc.. and some of the players and the squads they have we are doing well to be 2nd. maybe this arrogant attitude is why so few seem to get behind the team, instead sitting back and waiting to be entertained. We will have to fight for everything today. Even Preston, bottom of the league have some very good players -Lonergan, Davidson, St leger and Billy Jones would all get in our side, Chaplow, Tonge Parkin and Hume are also good players who I wouldnt mind having in our squad.

Jones attitude towards Gerrard caused the rift. I agree that Gerrard should have fought
harder to get fit again and prove himself. BUT... had he not done just that at the back
end of last season. Unbelievable to even contemplate now but we went NINE (i think)
games without conceding a goal when he and Darcy were together. He was unceremoniously
dumped by Jones for Hudson and never given a look in again. Imagine if he was thinking
"no matter what i do ill be second choice behind a pretty poor player"... no wonder he lacked
motivation!! He is now rated as one of Hulls best players this season. Yet another example
of David Jones binning young players even when they are playing well.
I do not have an arrogant attitude towards our players. They have to earn the right to play,
they have to win all the battles all over the pitch before imposing their style and flair.
Gerrard was one who was turning into a passionate, battling, determined defender. Who
knows if he'll ever make the top grade? I do know he's better than what we have got!!!
The problem at Cardiff City, I believe, is that Dave Jones has an arrogant attitude towards
the players, the fans and even the club. He thinks we're lucky to have him. He played in
the Merseyside derby you know, much bigger and more important than a Mickey Mouse game
between 'whatchamacallem' and 'thingummyjig'

Dear oh dear...
So sometimes we got lucky and sometimes we didnt - QPR blatent pen, Jacks missed a host of chances and blatent pen, forest, defelcted goal, load of easy chances missed...
I think a few of our fans need to realise that opposing teams will make us fight for everything and that it isnt going to come easy..
As for big games, Boro away FA Quarters, Barnsley FA Cup semi, Jacks home last year, Leicester play-off semi, ....
