Transfer Embargo. Would have been on our books but probably had to go back. DJ didn't mention him at all after game....

Wrong - embargo only applies to new loans / loan extensions. Etuhu joined on a season long loan, hence the embargo is a non issue.
Given he's only just returned from treatment at Man City AFAIK, probably left out due to not having trained with us recently?
