D.J Complains about Boo's

Sun Jan 10, 2010 2:00 am

D.J complained today about sections of the crowd booing the team.
do you think this affects the players in a negative way? and should people boo the team?

never boooed my team in my life, but i admit i did vent a fair amount of anger  when ross got taken off, and then we played 5 across midfield for about 20mins.
when if anytin rae/ledley could have made way and pushed 3 up, andd DJ could of showed a set of balls for once at home, instead of sitting back and hanging on, against POOR TEAMS!
cos lets be honest blackpool, plymouth, preston, ipswich and palace at home, to scrape draws or loose to them isnt good enough to gain promotion!!!!!!!!!!!!
as for peterborough well f**k me!
tacically niave or lacking a set of nads when it matters???? and as for sticking with chopra all year (which i have no problem with) then dropping him today and then using magginis, mccormack and feeney all before him, who i reckon have about 3 games btween them in about 6months, to go that extreme what was he trying to prove. players lack drive, and passion and that stems from DJ......

i could go on lol

as for booing having an negative effect on the players, PLAYERS SHOW PASSION AND LOSE, NOT A PROBLEM IT HAPPENS. show nothing then deal with the feelings from us lot who are scraping pennies together to keep the club going, and are being treated like mugs!

THATS MY RANT OVER, i no your all going to disagree but oh well, i bet you still chanted wheres our money gone! blooobirds forever :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

i've never booed any Cardiff team personally, if they are playing shit, they know it themselves and their own fans turning on them can only have a negative impact rather than a positive.

Saying that there are times i've wanted to get on the pitch and give them a team talk!!!

They were not booing the team they were booing him  My take on it was the booing was due to him taking McCormack off instead of Feeney. No offence Annis, I know you like Warren and he is probably a nice fella but he doesnt have the attributes to play the lone strikers role, that's not his fault. It's the managers fault for thinking he does.

As I was at the press conference and heard it directly from the horse's mouth, so to speak, it's only fair to say that DJ didn't complain about booing at all. On the contrary, he actually said that fans pay their money and are entitled to cheer or boo as they see fit but that he's never seen a positive outcome to booing of any player or team by its fans. He added that it usually had the opposite effect and often spurred the opposition on. He also said that it came from a small section in the stadium and that the majority of fans were very supportive.

You may like him or dislike him, that's up to you, but let's not take his words out of context.

I have to say, I wouldn't have brought Feeney off. Rae and Whittingham were playing a lot worse and it was only Joe's intent on finding different outlets that would have kept him on for me. I know this is controversial but I wouldn't have brought Feeney on for Magennis. I would have brought Gyepes on. It's famously known our players can't alter their playing style mid-game so if we started with a target man we needed to finish with a target man. Gyepes was a striker in his younger days and we could have done ok with him winning balls in the air for Ross to run on to.

As for Feeney, when he came on he didn't really have much opportunity and did reasonably well considering all the high and aimless balls. I can understand why Jones brought Matthews on for Burke but personally, I would have brought Chopra on then and pushed McCormack out right. I would have then brought Rae off and, again controversially, put Matthews in the middle.

We were lucky to get a point in the end today and I've often been a Jones supporter but today he got it wrong and even though I don't boo myself I can understand why those fans that did boo did. Some players clearly thought 'oh, it's too cold, I don't want to be here'. Ok fine, but we'll have your wages for this week then please.

Nobody was booing at the players, they were booing at Dave Jones decision to take McCormack off. I think everybody in the stadium realised that including all the fans, the players and the manager himself. He should stop whingeing and accept responsibility when things go wrong. This is his direct quote to BBC Sport Wales (available on teletext page 391, BBC) which I heard yesterday in his aftermatch interview on Radio Wales - "Supporters are entitled to boo and cheer but I've said before that I don't understand booing your own players" - That to me says he thinks the fans were booing the players - they were not. Heres the radio interview, listen carefully because he does accuse the fans of booing the players around 1 minute 55 seconds into the interview - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 450336.stm

Again Jones' puts the blame elswhere! He is so clever at doing that :o

Simple - he knows damn well it was HIM that was being boo'ed and his decisions of team positions and formation. Like he would admit it though and loose face!

And unless you were actually at the game and now what was goin on - he has done another good job of hoodwinking people into thinking something else!

Correct the booing was aimed at jones not the players....f*cking bellend as he is always shifting the blame when yet again it is his inadaqaucies that f**k the team up, funny every second half lately we seem to conceed a goal within 10 mins....player revolt maybe?

I'd like to know wot he tells them in his half time team work, cos not for the first time (or second time) this season we came out after the break a different Team.....not that we were world beaters in the 1st half.I can only summise that our Teams half time beverage of choice is NIGHT NURSE! :ayatollah:

Whatever he is saying seems to had the adverse effect on the players, as for beverages at HT Large Whiskeys spring to mind

It would probably be an eyeopener!

Probably something like, ok lads I've got 7/2 on a draw final score in play betting who's in? Ridders is putting the tax money on it
