A forum for all things Cardiff City

Is it just me or does anyone else share the view that Ross McCormack is a shadow of the player we had last season and also a shadow of Michael Chopra. I watched him for extended periods yesterday and basically he does not seem fit to me. He was constantly caught on his heels, especially after a burst of any activity. Conversely if you watch Chopra he never stops, if anything he goes after too many lost causes. Ultimately goal scorers are judged on goal scoring and no-one can deny Chopra is in a lean spell we can only pray he breaks out of soon. However McCormack is hardly snapping up every chance coming his way. Personally I believe Cardiff City are a poorer side without Chopra the defense from the front disappears. Whilst I am talking about strikers, I thought Josh Magennis was outstanding yesterday or I should qualify that by saying he took advantage of how woeful Blackpool's makeshift centre back pairing were, unlike the eager but inept Feeney. I believe if Bothroyd and Chopra had started we would have tore the Blackpool defense to pieces. The sooner these two are reinstated in our side, whether they are ill, moody, transfer listed we need to fix it and get them playing together ASAP, ideally with Steve McPhail in midfield to provide the ammunition.

I thought Ross, was real poor, he moaned not so long ago when he was played out on the wing, but where was he all day yesterday? Out on the wing, when the balls came into the box, he was out wide, he expects to pick the ball up out wide beat players & then cut inside to score, you can't do that all the time, now & again you will score by doing that, a strikers job is to be in the box sniffing around for any chances & sticking the ball in the net! He has put loads of weight on since last season!
Saying that mind give me Ross to Feeney anyday!
