I could write an essay of what I think about all this, but I won't. (I very nearly wrote my dissertation on Islam and terrorism, but eventually went for a less controversial subject)

In short, I agree with you. But it seems that we are in the minority.

Daya, I live in Cardiff....and as for the over run comment, I've never heard anything more ridiculous in my life. I see a LOAD more white people than I do brown/black/yellow.

Also as for language, I work a lot with foreigners and its normally the arabs, indians and pakastanis who speak the better English...its the Eastern Europeans who, in my experience, make no effort to learn the language.

Anyway, I'll leave it there because I'm not a patient person and I get wound up very easily by what I see as narrowmindedness.

But there you go again, making sweeping assumptions about someone because of what you THINK you know about them. "Look at the problems you lot cause"?? What's that supposed to mean. Do you think that all students and ex students are to blame for the riots? A bit like you seem to think all Muslims are to blame for terrorism?

Whilst I am in no way a supporter of any terrorism at all, if the IRA decided to start bombing the UK, then the thought that fellow City fans would be suspicious of me fills me with contempt. Can't go around thinking about people like that. Everyone should be treated with respect - any bad they do should lead you to make a fuller assessment of their character. Besides, most Irish back in the time of the IRA fully integrated and were accepting of British culture.

I mean, the stadium is not going to happen - and besides, if we're looking for Muslims, there are loads working in the bars at the stadium. Could've have happened by now

I see your point I work in London a lot and it sometimes crosses my mind when on the tube but 90% of time don't even think about it! The way I think about it is if it's your time to go you're a gonna!

Its because in the 60's the IRA an FWA links were pretty strong and a concious
decision was made by the IRA not to bomb Wales

Yes I was a student, yes I'm young but that doesn't make me incapable of making my own mind up. You insinuated I was "brainwashed" by Labour. Why don't you respect me enough just to accept that whilst you may not agree with my opinion.....its my opinion. I have not been brainwashed. I find it rather insulting that you and Daya can dismiss my opinion not because of factual statements, but because you can't think of anything else to say to counter my argument. You and Daya have practically said "she's a student, their young and impressionable and can't form an opinion of their own." That's highly insulting.

I come from a military background (a bit like you atm) and can assure you that my opinions are my own. So please, if you want to disagree with me....then do so.. But speak to me like the tax paying adult that I am.

I haven't agreed with everything you've said, but dismissing people because they're 'young' or 'impressionable' is wrong. Besides, I know plenty of students with right wing views, yet they wouldn't be called naïve.

On a better note, I think the only Boxing Day security needed will be our defence securing the box against the girl beater King.

Sorry Guys, but this is quite a sad post and has only a limited number of sensible replies....

A terrorist is a terrorist regardless of what colour, race, religin or creed he is and, as one or two have pointed out, the only difference today is that the terrorists are foreign nationals....plus, of course, the ungrateful that forget that this country allowed them (or their parents) asylum from the oppressive regimes of their country of origin
