While we’re on this subject I know the jacks call us scum and scummers etc but what do they think of us?

This is a light hearted post and not meant to trade insults and get too serious

Well unlike most Jacks i dont actually hate your club,its fans or your city.Maybe its because i wasn't born in Swansea.Doesn't mean i like you though

the reason you hate our city and people of cardiff is because we get everything, became the capital, 20t imes better things to do! bigger and better, the whole lot, and because swansea is still such a dump that "hardly get a look in" etc all swansea people have this bitter and twisted hatred to all things cardiff

Sorry Ben but I just cannot agree with you. I have a number of Swansea fans and basically they all dont give a damn about Cardiff being the capital city, a bigger club or the fact they have been looking up at us over the last few decades.

When you pick your football team its for life. The reason you pick a team could be for a number of reasons. You most likely picked Cardiff for the same reason Blackswan picked Swansea. What is most important is that you stick with that team regardless and that should be respected to whoever you support.

There is nothing sad supporting a team regardless who they are, what they have achieved and what they can do providing you stuck with them when you first chose them.

To be honest, the general consensus I get is that the massive hatred that apparently exists between Cardiff and Swansea is only amongst the minority. I know more Swansea fans who want Cardiff to do well than I know fans who want Cardiff to fail. Other than match day and league position, there's no rivalry for me. We're all Welsh and I'd love to see both teams in the Premiership. The Championship is much more exciting with Swansea up here with us.

Don't get me wrong I've had some unpleasant experiences with the odd Swansea fan but I don't let the minority affect my view of the majority. It's a playful rivalry more than anything. I hate a lot more English clubs than I hate Swansea.

spot on BA and Zabier,i believe you have to be lacking in intelligence to 'really' hate another footbll club.

My biggest gripe is the youngsters who come along and automatically 'hate' Swansea or Cardiff because they're supposed to, when they weren't even about in the 80's or 90's when we'd play eachother regulary and to see what went on back in the day.

Personally i couldn't care less if Cardiff is a bigger or better city than Swansea,im only concerned for the 'club' i support and not the 'city'

Personally speaking and I state this is personal and not the views of all Cardiff Cit Fans I am Cardiff born and bred and I detest Swansea as a City,as a Football Club and the people.

Reason why, through personal experience of Swansea, be it as a night out, be it as hols down the Gower and the Football I hate everything about it.

When you have a team of doormen chuck you out of a club for being from Cardiff, when you have virtually a whole club empty to have a go at "The Cardiff" you kind of get a hatred for them.

When you say buggar all about the goings on of their club yet they rib you anytime there is the slightest bad rumour or result surrounding Cardiff it grates on you.

When you visit the City Centre and actually step back and see it for what it is (probbaly spoilt by Cardiff's to be honest) you do think Pretty Shitty City.

When their Chairman is constantly in the papers crying about what Cardiff are upto it and what "they get away with" you think f**k them!!

Like i say my personal opinion not of all of Cardiff.

Swansea isn't the most pleasing on the eye city in the country but i cant see why you'd 'hate' it as a result????

The incident at the club was one of many reasons and no I wasnt shouting my mouth off, how can you in a night club? if you want the full details my mate went for a piss some jacks followed him in and as he turned round they asked him where he was from b4 he could answre he was nutted and thrown out, next up was me 3 doorman pounced on me when i was on the dancefloor gave me a volley of your out of here f*cking Cardiff etc etc, eventually the 5 of us were outside and the doorman wanted apop cos we were Cardiff then the clubs punters started to follow out to have a go, someone picked up on the accents as we chatted.

there are many reasons i could have listed they are but a few Fact is I Cannot say anything nice about the place or the people and this is my experience and Ive no doubts other peoples opinions will differ. Each to their own.

Personally never had a problem with Swansea, but there again I guess I'm in the same situation as Blackswan, I moved to Cardiff and not born here (lived here for 17 years now though)

I also refuse to stand up to the 'Stand up if you hate Swansea' chants.

I'm a Cardiff fan, not a Swansea hater.
