Our leader says on the BBC website whilst condemning our fans once more that h'd hate to see the reaction if we were near the bottom of the table rather than near the top.
Well, let me take on a trip back into the not to distant past, just to November 2007 when a particularly abject performance away to Charlton which we lost 3-0 meant we were 4th from bottom and the following May's cup final appearance seemed light years away.
If I recall that afternoon the reaction of the away faithful was along the lines of "You're not fit to wear the shirt" and a particularly rousing rendition of "Jonesy, Jonesy, time to go".
So the answer to your question Dave is - the reaction would probably be much the same as it is now anyway.
