I can't see Roy Keane getting back into football now but why do some chairmen think that just because a person was a great player he will automatically make a good manager, no matter how many times he has failed previously?

Strange that Alan Curbishley and paul Jewell are 2 of the most highly rated young(er) managers around and were highly sought after when they left their last jobs but haven't been taken on by anyone since. I wonder why? Surely their reason that they're waiting for the right job to come along can't be totally true
