If we are, please no one name him because it'll get in the local press and will be picked up on by national media and followed up by other clubs, probably bigger and richer ones than we. Thus potentially losing a player for us.

We all know how the local press like to rely on messageboards to get their stories and we can't rely on them to keep schtum, such is their desperation to pretend they're actually capable of journalism (which they're not).

So responsibility has to be taken by others to protect the best interests of our club.

That includes whoever is inside the club who is leaking the stories - the biggest culprit of all as far as I'm concerned.

Agents routinely leak interest in players. So to do selling/loaning clubs to drum up interest.
