Their attendance went UP in League One??? that is bonkers, fair play to them.

Not much to do down that way mind, is there? Makes you wonder why the Jacks don't get loads to their games, they're similar places... inbred, boring, backward... you know the sort.

It is good support - I think most seasons they have sold the full permissable allocation of season tickets (clubs are not allowed to sell all their home capacity in season tickets) - but there are some reasons

1) as pointed out below , there is very little else to do in the area. Norwich is a pleasant enough city , but there is no competition from other sports and it is a fair way from other football competition such as London.

2) within living memory of a lot of their fans , Norwich were playing at the top level in the league , and also in Europe (did they not have a memorable away victory at Bayern Munich?).

They get 40,000 most weeks who gather on the town green and point at the moon. Haven't you seen that documentary about Alan Partridge, its all true you know. ;)

Norfolk is also a little bit like the Fens area of Cambridgeshire or the Forest of Dean - lots of inbreeding.

There are towns with populations of thousands , but only about 3 surnames between them
