Well we got Johnson from the lower leagues and now look we're he is so i'd go for it

id prefer charlie austin , off the top of my head cant name a lower league defender which has impressed, im sure if i think about it i will

Charlie Austin is an expensive gamble, Bradley Wright Phillips I would go nowhere near.

Austin isn't really a gamble - he's quality, so much so that it's highly unlikely he'll come to us.

If we are struggling to pay money up front in the Vaughan deal then we can forget about Austin, too many clubs after him. Seeing the amount of clubs after him hes being quoted around £2 million at the moment. A good player yes but needs to prove himself at a higher level.
