Do you know what I found most disrespectful about Jones's comments is that fact that he seems to insinuate we can only sign players if we don't have any competition to sign them. God forbid we might actually sign someone who rejects another club in favour for us or is that impossible???

If you ask me this nonsense is all about his "THIS PART OF THE WORLD MENTALITY" something he has had since the day he walked into the club.

Do you remember when he was always moaning about how difficult it was to attract players to the club because we had no training ground and Ninian Park was crap. In those days we needed to get a grip of expectation levels because DJ & PR had to sell a dream to potential players.

Well he has his state of the art training ground, a state of the art indoor facility, a modern state of the art stadium and an owner who will allow him to pay top wages. Now he struggles to sign players because of messageboards

By now we should all understand that he is not an optimistic guy just a dour miserable scouse git
