I voted for an AGM/EGM first see what the outcome of that is and if were still not happy then demonstrate. :ayatollah:

I agree i think we should wait till end of Jan to see if PR keeps his promises of bringing in 4 players, pay the tax etc.

I vote egm purely because I worry that demonstration will lead to Ridsdale sourcing high risk financing To purchase players at high interest levels or against more future income. We need a long term strategy rather than a short term gamble. Also at the egm it would be clear that his position is untenable due to his financial mismanagement.

It could be another 2 months by the time an AGM/EGM is actually held. We might not have that long! Lets be honest here guys, he isnt going to change.....he is ruining OUR club!

Shameful thing is he has done it before, therefore will do it again and as much as people praise him, he will never be a FANS chairman.

He is in it to win it.....Not the people but the money. I hope he is hanging his head in shame but il guarantee he is not.

I heard peter was once in the navy "As he is WELL KNOWN for sinking ships"

Hi,
this is the first time I've ever posted on a forum like this. I'm on them all the time reading up on the rumour mill as you do!
The reason I'm posting is things are really pissing me off down the city again!!! Why cant we do both? Protest and have an EGM? If we have an EGM it will all still be kept pretty quiet, the only people who seem to know how deep in the shit we are are people who read these message boards! If we do both they will both compliment each other! Protests will bring some advertisement to the situation and an EGM will actually force the situation and get something done!
As for this investment I'm wondering why would we want the Americans in if they still want PR on board all he'd do is rob them as well as us! I think the malasians are obviosly a bit more savy if the want PR out of the scene before they make a move and that's surley a good thing!
One last thing, can someone answer this for me, if we go into administration are all assets put up in a fire sale or will they keep some because it makes the club more attractive to buyers ie the stadium?

Regards
Steve

I don't think it's a case of either or, but doing everything within our power as fans to safeguard our future. I voted AGM/ EGM initially as I believe that will give the most irrefutable proof to our concerns by way of documenting our perilous state and the abject leadership we have endured for so long. While I still believe that is probably the most important measure, I do believe that allied with demonstrations, the undeniable bad feeling that is snowballing against Ridsdale will be apparent not to just him, the board and PMG, but to potential investors too. While this may seem initially a negative, I believe it will be more positive in the long run as it will have the effect of concentrating the minds shall we say of PMG especially. Besides, potential investors have been put off by Ridsdale's lies, deceit and incompetence anyway, forcing him out will have quite the opposite effect to that which Peter tries to portray. The only way these suits in power understand fans feelings is when it hits them in the pocket. If they see mass demonstrations and such bad feeling towards PR, the risk of a drop in attendances, hence revenue will also focus the way in which they perceive the job Ridsdale is doing. I appreciate many will not agree with this view, but I will also not put another penny into the club's coffers whilst he remains in charge. There is much we can do, not just one or two things, I think we should start doing them immediately.

Reluctantly I will say an EGM because in my view there is no way their going to have an AGM, because there is so much being swept under the carpet allegedly . However it will take a fair while to get that EGM and by then sadly we may very well be the subject of a winding up order. I am old school and my heart tells me demonstrate but head says EGM for now.

its gonna have to be both, the demo to show the media us the fans have had enough, i for one would be more than happy to organise it i know quite a few on here would back it, there are options either a sitdown after the game, or a pre game in the carpark/foyer area, i dont think chants during a game would work,

as for a egm/agm thats more for the politicians at our club, because i will only expect more bollox from that

so a demo is the only way forward for the press coverage

i for one have had a totall gutsfull of the way our club is run, action is needed and needed NOW

AND YES YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THIS :ayatollah:

Join the frigging Trust, more members (espeically season ticket holders) the more influence and credability it has to speak on behalf of the fans.

The trouble is even if the Trust are successful in getting an EGM the present board will thumb there noses at an organisation which has only 700 members mostly made up of family members.

Weight in numbers is the answer, remember collectively us the paying fans put around £6m into this club every year. That's our strength and we should use it.

only reason i voted for agm is as a demo could scare initial investors off,but i tell you what this is getting drawn out and i can see the bill getting payed just before transfer deadline so leaving us only a day or no time to bring players...and yet another broken promise off pr..piss take

if potential investers are unwilling to deal with PR, why don't they contact the shareholders directly, buy their shares and force a drag on. by owning all the shares wouldn't they be able to oust the tosser?
