Man Utd

Hope I don't get slated for posting about Man Utd!

If the BBC Gossip column is to be believed, Man Utd are in the shit financially. They're reportedly looking to sell either Old Trafford, the training ground at Carrington, or Rooney. Or maybe all three.

Am I right in saying that their debt only exists because of the way they were bought by the Glazers? Man Utd itself is actually profitable, isn't it?

The Glaziers borrowed so much money through the club that the interest payable is more than the profits they make. Their last set of accounts showed a profit of about £30m only after selling Ronaldo for £70m!

Football is at the precipice methinks. There needs to be quite some restructuring at a lot of clubs including ours.
