Toshack, Dean Saunders, Leighton Philips, Leighton James.....Ron Davies was Div One top scorer in early 70s.
Some other tough defenders too...Trevor Hockey...

There was also a Welsh superstar footballer in the early 1900s called Billy Meredith...played for manCity & United.
Never saw him play so can't include him either !

with john charles being voted the greatest player to ever play in the italian league a few years back when players such as maradonna,zidane,maldini,gullit,van basten,ronaldhino, to name a few have played in should tell you enough
