Beware the next nonsense

The TRansfer window does shut on January 31st but clubs can actually sign players up until mid March...

Expect some statement to that effect if nobody is signed by the end of the month...the ruling is as follows

Football League clubs can have a maximum of four players under 23 and a further four players over 23 during any season on a standard loan, though no more than two of the latter can be signed from a single club. These standard loans are all done and dusted before the transfer deadline and run from window to window.

However, Football League clubs can sign players on an emergency loan for a maximum of 93 days.

An emergency loan cannot happen until seven days until after each transfer window has closed and are not allowed after the fourth Thursday in November during the first half of the season until the window reopens and after the fourth Thursday in March until the end of the campaign.

Christ we'll see the season ticket offer extended to March now

Well that simply would not be acceptable especially when Ridsdale has said this on the Wales Online website on the 6th january 2010 - “We will be bringing in new players this month, I can guarantee that. I would go so far as to say that come January 31, we will be holding a press conference to parade the players we have brought in during the month.”

I didn't say that I believe him. It's just a direct quote and not his usual double speak. So if he fails to deliver on this promise then his position is untenable, simple as.

I do believe I read that the money was for DJ to strengthen the side in January. There is no excuse.
