Excuse my ignorance but did Steve Borley and friends pay it off. If he has there is no excuse for not getting any players in. Or is there an embargo on us?.

I believe part of it was paid off this week by them.

I think football league rules stipulate the tax debt must be cleared before they lift embargo. So I have a feeling they are just trying to avoid the winding up order and nothing else. Dont forget that bill was £2.7 million as far back as December 23rd according to TNOW article. So that figure owing to HMRC will have substantially increased by February 10th (When we are due back in court). Therefore depending of course what time of the month we pay any PAYE bills it could be one or two months owing on top of that figure by that date

So I am correct the whole debt has to be cleared up to date before any embargo is lifted. We are fecked then.
