I grew up watching some of the worst football possible in Ireland, and the atmospheres were still great. Nowadays over there, standard is better, and atmospheres excellent in terms of flags and crowd noise

In our case, it is a massive mixture of things, most of which we've all probably mentioned before

I dont agree its anything to do with the stadium, we know it can generate atmosphere as we have had great atmospheres for certain games and the stadium doesnt change, just the people. I think fans need to stop moaning and stand up and be counted, stadium isnt the problem its the fans.

in my opinion all seater stadium is having a big affect on how we support our team, (stating the obvious) the reason behind this in having a ticket for a specific seat, which means, you do not have to get to the ground early, just walk in a minute before kick off and take your seat and see where to game takes you as far as atmosphere is concerned ,you also got the big screen (well not that big) showing what you could get from the Cardiff City player, showing the goals again, which all detracts from the atmosphere.

At Ninian park we got to the ground early, to get near your crash barrier, or favorite spot there were little inhibitions whilst you were standing, to start a chant and get involved with the atmosphere all this was before a ball was kicked , just us fans getting on with supporting our team, making our own entertainment.

In church you stand when you sing, at a live event with a great atmosphere the audience is standing.

The root of our problem is/was--Thatcher, yes her, she new what she was doing when endorsing the Taylor report, she also tried to ban away fans, at football, with the support of the Tory MP, Luton Chairman David Evans, and others, in trying to make football fans passive, and to be like rugby fans they kick the ball and we clap, this is no way to understate what happened at Hillsbourgh or the 95 fans that died, because in my opinion it was the police that failed the fans that day, not the standing areas. :x :x :x :x :x :x

we only sing when your standing sing when your standing
