Question for Saladthedragon

Sun Jan 17, 2010 11:22 am

I note from your e-mail exchange with Peter Ridsdale that you are very keen on the idea of an EGM.

Are you a shareholder or a Supporters' Trust member? I ask because I can't find your name on the list of shareholders or the Trust membership list?

No I'm not, but given how much good work the Trust is doing, I intend to join soon. I didn't realise fans needed to be part of the Trust to support it.

Its only £1 a month and I think you'd find it both worthwhile and interesting.

The people who run it are well organised very committed and do an excellent job.

The bigger the membership the stronger the influence and the louder the voice.

Spot on. I have family membership at £5 P/M and its the best fiver I spend each month. I don't always agree with TLG or Corky and may be I don't even like them, but I trust them to do the job they are elected to do and can't think of anyone better for those postions.

Re: Question for Saladthedragon

You don't, but it helps.

I'm surprised that someone like you, who spends hours on end talking about your dissatisfaction with the way the club is being run on various message boards and in e-mails to the Chairman, isn't prepared to part with just £1 a month in order to support an organisation that is genuinely attempting to fight the fans' corner on a whole variety of issues. That said, there are hundreds like you, it seems.

I was very amused by your comments in your e-mails to Ridsdale saying an EGM will force him to resign, etc. I thought they were a bit rich coming from someone who is playing no part in the process whatsoever.

I should point out that the AGM (or EGM) isn't intended to force Ridsdale's resignation. It is intended to, and I quote: "allow the Directors to outline their plans for the club and evidence the financial stability and viability of Cardiff City Football Club in the short, medium and long-term."

This much I know because I helped to daft the letter requesting it.

Your patronising tone and calling me a sniping c**t is hardly going to seal the deal. I appreciate the work the Trust does greatly and realise you play a prominent part in that, put you really are an abnoxious, arrogant, self important, pompous prat. Apologies to everyone bar TLG for that, this board is not about such behaviour but I feel I have no option other than to respond in kind to such comments.

Re: Question for Saladthedragon

I do not want to keep locking threads because of name calling and sniping remarks, discuss lads and have difference of opinions but stop sniping.

Re: Question for Saladthedragon

I'm trying my best Carl and didn't react to the name calling on the other thread, indeed attempting to defuse the situation by making a joke of it, but I'm afraid TLG is mkaing rational debate impossible. I would suggest locking this thread as well in truth.

Do you realise that TLG's remark calling you a sniping c**t is no longer on that thread - hmmmmmmm  where did it go

If I referred to someone in such a way I would expect to be banned and not allowed back.

Salad don't rise to it, just tell him he'll get your Trust application within the week.

PS It is a little funny thinking that TLG went through the full shareholders and trust members list looking for your name  sad or what?

Re: Question for Saladthedragon

This is incredible.

Saladthedragon accuses me of being in Ridsdale's pocket.

He now accuses me of being an an abnoxious (sic), arrogant, self important, pompous prat.

I call him a sniping c**t, and somewhow I'm the bad guy.....

It's all one-way traffic on this board, and it stinks.

Doing so took seconds. Amazingly, both lists are in alphabetical order......

What is sad is someone like saladthedragon failing to cough up £1 a month to join the Supporters' Trust.

What would you expect if you accused somebody of being in the Chairman's pocket, oh great one?

Guys. Peace please.

TLG - I guess what you may want to say is that the Trust has to be the way forward and I suspect that most would agree. One united voice for all fans. Stronger together, properly organised and with a considered agenda! You may want to add something. Now would be a good time for a recruiting drive on all boards I guess.

It is. But I think I think accusing somebody you've never even met of being in the Chairman's pocket is the type of thing only a C word would do, don't you?

Absolutely not. Knob, perhaps.

As Uccello said, petty debates aren't your thing. Best let this thread lie I reckon.

What's nonsense?

Do you think saladthedragon's accusation that I'm in the chairman's pocket was reasonable and deserved no response?

Please please no more swearing from both of you and name calling.
