Whoever PMG want as a figurehead to avoid blame being apportioned to them.

In suspect they'd want Borley to "fill in" in the hope a City fan would alleviate the demonstrations.

Its not Just Perter who is to blame then, as he is just the front man. Its the whole board.

Unless the whole board is replaced, it is feasible to think that we could be in the same position in a few years time.

I'll give it a go

Seeing as he's surrounded himself with high paid managers and advisors there probably isn't a lot to do - other than reply to emails ;)

I'd disagree per se it's the whole board. I'd say remove Ridsdale, tasked with the running of the club, and PMG, I suspect there would be an improvement. Directors can vehemently disagree with decisions, not have the clout in the scheme of things to block them.

In what role Joff?

As Chief Executive , would be easy to replace by someone better qualified at running a small to medium size business prudently and efficiently. If the job were to be advertised at around £250k a year I could find you a dozen or so suitable candidates within a week.

As a Chairman figurehead , a bit more difficult as this is more of a politicians role which PR has been very good at. Unfortunately , that facade has been damaged recently by facts that have shown him to have been at best economic with the truth. I don`t think any of the other current board memebers have the skill or inclination to take on that role.Alan Flitcroft is more of a backroom man , and I would suspect Steve Borley is more comfortable not being a frontman spokesman as well (besides he has other businesses to run). Both Alan Whiteley and Keith Harris are non-executive directors whose other businesses take priority (understandably) over CCFC matters. And I am still far from convinced that "TG" is even a director.

So maybe S Borley as Chairman in the short term until any new owners bring in someone of their choice as their direct link to the board (wouldn`t even have to be a full time role if the right Chief Exec was in place.

Keith

Its not as hard to replace a chairman as it is to replace a manager

Agree with you there Baker and of course you Keith. Always been a DJ fan until the end of last season, but too many mistakes have been made by him since while his attitude absolutely stinks. That said, whether Jones stays or goes is not the issue for me, I would suggest we need Riddler out of the club asap in the hope the only people remotely interested in our club, the Malaysians, re-ignite their interest in the club. The longer Riddler stays, the more the likelihood of no investment or at best any interest coming too late to save us from admin. As for who could do the job, as Keith alludes to, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone competent for £250k a year.
