A forum for all things Cardiff City

Firstly I would, on behalf of the Moderators, like to Thank Steve Borley for posting on this message board and speaking directly to us, the fans.
Steve, With regards to 'backing off' with demonstrations, banners and protests I feel it is difficult to ask the fans to do that when we feel cheated, duped and lied too, I understand that you have never made statements or promises reagrds new signings or paying creditors but you obviously understand, cause we know you are a fan too, how betrayed we are feeling.
But I feel, that out of respect for you who has the decency to come here and give us some insight to what is going on, we should be a little more patient. I think we should all pull together and keep our support for the team until the end of this month, because we must not forget what our Chairman promised us, that by the END OF JANUARY THE TAX BILL WILL BE PAID and also Steve I would like to quote our chairman, when he said " AND I WOULD AS FAR TO SAY WE WILL BE PARADING NEW PLAYERS ON JANUARY 31ST ". So he still has time to deliver !!
Steve, we were asked to front up our money early to HELP the manager, we did.
We were promised that money would go to strengthing the team, so far it has'nt.
Steve, we were told at the fans meeting ( muni club ) the tax bill was sorted, it was'nt.
So in summary, Yes I agree we should not demonstrate YET but the Chairman MUST deliver on his promises !!

It was also said that it would be settled within 10 days, ie Today. That's not to mention the other 2/3 statements after the various court orders where he said the payment plans were in place, and that he thought the original court appearance was great news!
He's also said we'd be getting 3/4 players in, which is not very likely to happen if we still have an embargo at the end of January
]
I understand where Steve is coming from, but It seems to have gone too far now. If potential investors see that 10k fans have paid for season tickets in December that surely is reason enough to show they're commited.
Even if they do have a go at Ridsdale tomorrow at least it shows we're passionate.

The 10 day comment was him saying he was hopeful it would be paid within 10 days but he made a statement saying IT WOULD BE PAID BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH, thats the difference and reagrds to players he still has time to bring them in Owain, I feel we should back Steve Borley' s judgement on this as he is in a position to know exactly what is going on

Steve, Like Carl Said We have a lot of respect for you and will hold fire till the end of January, but that is because we respect you and most of all, Love Our Club and dont want to hurt it in any way.
But Our patience is wearing thin like I said today to you. We do not want to put investors off, but I believe there is only one serious investor at this moment in time, the Malaysians and they have in my opinion been put off by our own chairman and not us.
I know they are still there waiting in the wings.
Hopefully we will have a share holders meeting soon and I believe if PR believes he has the backing lol, he should call one now to show us, but at the same time answer a lot of Questions.
Also rem Steve, like I said to you we cant take anymore Spin enough is enough and we are at the end of terror.
Thankyou once of again for explaining to me the whole situation today, which I believe is the Truth.

Annis a couple of quick questions for Mr Borley, that I posted on a nother thread earlier. Four words in response from the club would very much help the supporters of the club and help a decision regarding protestations.
Many thanks
A couple of questions for you please, Mr Borley, any guidance you could give would very much help peoples thoughts on the current situation:
Will the HMRC debt be paid off before the end of January 2010, as has been promised?
Will be then be able to strengthen the squad before the end of the transfer window?
Has the funds from the sale of the 10,000 plus season tickets been set aside for team strengthening as has been promised?
Will we need to sell players before the end of the transfer window?
A little clarity on these matters would be very helpful for many thousands of City fans.
Your response would be very much appreciated. I am not necessarily asking for a detailed response as I know your time is precious, a single word answer to each question would suffice.
Many thanks

So the yanks and this Steele guy are just fantasy then?
as we all suspected and the Malaysians are still there keeping quiet but waiting until the last moment to swoop.

Figments of a thoroughly unhinged imagination.

ANNIS and what was the TRUTH?
Mon Jan 18, 2010 6:47 pm
Thanks for your questions.
My opinion, inland Revenue will be paid by Feb 6th. We wont go into Admin, Once PR has gone after a EGM/AGM the Malaysians will invest Millions.

too late for any new players to come in then, so he will have to be forced out before any investment.

The transfer door closes at the end of janurary, but the loan option is still available

Be aware also that PR would like to blame, the fans, if anything goes wrong with the investors, he has, as far as I am concerned, already started his blame game which was what we seen on Sunday with the Express article, if there are demos tomorrow it is playing into his hands so as a group we need to be far more clever than he would ever give us credit for.
He will fall foul of his own statements and there will be no-one to blame but himself.
We have not made any demands or given any deadlines, he has created this situation.
You cannot blame SAM anymore PR.
PR you told us and I quote " I make no apology for the salary I get and I can guarantee you get every single penny's worth "
Dont ever forget You asked for our help , so we put up !!!!!
Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:13 pm
Correct Carl, PR would Spin it and blame us
Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:18 pm
Annis
Are the Malaysians playing the long game?
Are they waiting for the very very last minute to step in and pick up the club at the lowest possible price?
If so, that is fine as the less they spend acquiring the shares in the club, hopefully, the more they will have to invest in the club.
However, the short game on this is that we bring nobody in this January, we sell Matthwes, Chopra, Mcormack, Whitts and Ledley on the cheap - real chesp - to pay off some of the debts to just survive.
Even with significant investment from the Malaysians it will take several yers to recover from that and start building towards the premiership again.
Still, better than the Riddler , Jones and possible admin I guess.

Excellent point Carl. Ridsdale has to think beyond Cardiff City as he is a lame duck Chairman with his days numbered.
However, if he could somehow force the issue with us, he moves onto the next club claiming we turned on him unfairly despite his brilliant work in delivering the stadium (you know the spin)
Let's not do it don't give him the satisfaction or the undeserved oppotunity.
Personally I would go for a 'reverse' demonstration. Dig out some Malaysians flags and sing 'we want TG & VT' etc. etc.

considering that steve borley has been on this msgboard asking for us to keep the faith of the board i find it strange why our chairman is making claims of paying the tax bill within a certain time frame then when that time frame passes why is he not keeping us up to date with the situation
