9.2mil frightens me.....

Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:01 pm

but, what is our income to match that? Can anyone work out what we generate for ticket sales each month, this may make it sound a bit better...

Also what other sources of income there are?

Apart from the inevitable player sales...

Let's work it out, shall we. Average of 20,000 fans, turning up at something like £20 a game overall.
That'll give us £4.4m from the 11 home games we have left this season.

Not including the Wurzels FA Cup game, the possible Leicester FA Cup tie, anymore we manage to get from the cup and playoffs if, by some miracle, we make them.

Then there's the £3m season ticket money, plus the £4m from the inevitable sale of Adam Matthews.

That pesky Ridsdale!!!

£100k per home game, a drop in a vast ocean.

If you think that synopsis is bad, how do you think we will survive next season? At least £3m of next seasons money is already gone via the season ticket deal, quite possibly around £6m if we have borrowed next seasons tv money as some have suggested. Given with full turnover, which also includes Premier Club money which goes straight to paying off PMG, we will make a projected conservative operating loss of £2m next season, that's before the aforementioned losses of a minimum £4m (maybe as much as £7m) or any debt repayments to a lengthy list of creditors are factored in. The actual operating loss for next season will be a lot nearer £10m and not necessarily below it. This explains the incredulous contempt with which I reacted to Peter's e-mail which referred to a "short term cash pinch." It is anything but.

Err....14,500 of those 20,000 (if it turns out to be that many) are season ticket holders and have already paid for every game this season. The Wurzels and potential Foxes game, we only get 40% of the gate revenue.
