So Annis -Borley told you

Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:13 pm

The tax bill will be paid in February.
Did he tell you why the fans were conned into buying season tickets under false pretences?

Ridsdale was probably banking on the Malaysian investment, they got scared off leaving us with a huge funding gap is my guess

Annis just said The Malaysians haven’t gone away.
Is it against their religion to do business in January?

Have to presume then that there will be no new players for Jones then as we cannot sign under the embargo?.

Ok maybe they haven't gone away, but from what I've heard they didn't like whole tax situation and the fact that Ridsdale allegedly tried covering it up. It sounds as if they are still around but dealing with other members behind the scenes, but the process must have slowed down

Theya re taking the club to the edge, to the very brink.

Reading between the lines it appears Guy and Borley are negotiating directly with the Malaysians. There have been plenty of hints about 'something' happening in February.

We have to take this information in good faith because as it is coming from Borley not Ridsdale. I know it's hard and goes against all our instincts but we have to give them the time they have asked for.

Frankly signing players is now a dead issue as is our lame duck Chairman.

Zabier said earlier it might be time for a spring clean, sweeping away the old and starting again. I agree and the first step is to pay the tax bill, see through the takeover and then address the playing side come the summer.

Perhaps they don’t understand football clubs then.
I thought the idea of Due Diligence was for buyers to get a complete no holes barred picture.
How could the tax issue be left out of Due Diligence?

There is a loan transfer window in Feb,why would new owners wnt to wait until the summer ?

The tax issue *wasn't* left out of due dilligence.

PR never told the Malaysians about the original winding up order and original un-paid tax, before due dillgence 'started'.

The chronological order of events - according to Ridsdale - seems to be:

1) The Malaysians were interested in the club

(Some time after!)

2) TG joined the board of directors

3) TG - within a day or two - became aware of the winding up order

4) Then Ridsdale said the Malaysians had entered the due dilligence process.

As we know, this isn't exactly what actually happened (e.g. TG doesn't seem to be on the board) - it's just more spin from Ridsdale.

However it does seem like the Malaysians entered due dilligence *after* the tax issue story broke.

I think now, though, that the Malaysians are probably not fans of Ridsdale anymore (who would be - he LIES and LIES some more!), and so are backing off a bit and perhaps dealing with other people.

But anyway - it does seem as though the tax issue came *before* the Malaysians officially entered due dilligence.

So is this the scenario Annis? The tax bill doesn't get paid until the 6th February so no players coming in as the embargo will not be lifted. As the bill is not paid by January the winding up order kicks in and we will be on the winding up list for the 10th February and will be all over the national news, and mayhem will ensue with the fans. Several players will have to be sold in January to Keep us ticking over. Then right at the last minute the Malaysians will ride in on their white horses and rescue us at a knock down price just before the court rises in session. Then they will sweep clean and all will be happy at the CCS once again and it will be time to rebuild, hopefully to get us promotion next season.

With respect mate that's not what I said. By all means the new owners might want to make use of the loan window, but come the summer (takeover having taken place and presumably funds in place) there should be a good clear out and replacements worthy of sustaining a promotion push brought in.
