The roof, getting wet and atmosphere

Mon Nov 30, 2009 10:10 pm

Although I loved Ninian Park, I think the new stadium is pretty good and do like it. However, to spend £40m on a stadium with a roof that doesn't cover the seats is ridiculous, it' just simply not fit for purpose. I hope it either gets extended, or it doesn't rain again, which ever is easier for the club to sort out.

Also, on an even more important note, we have to swap the Canton and Grange end over if there's any chance of restoring an atmosphere in the new stadium. If you look how close we were to the Jacks at the Liberty, it really made a difference for great atmosphere (or would have been if we had won). It was supprizingly easy to police too, the no mans land gap was half of what it is at CCS. I've heard a lot of people raise this "end swapping" point, but how can we make a serious effort to get the club to do this for next season, any ideals anyone?

In a state-of-the-art (apparently) building with a roof? Roofs usually are to.. y'know.. prevent the elements. ;)
