players attitude

Tue Jan 26, 2010 12:20 pm

revealing article in the irish press last sunday with the scunthorpe defender byrne saying that a few members of the cardiff squad that played them recently were sledging them by saying that they werent fit to be on the same pitch as our self proffessed superstars and had no right to be in the championship,he added that when he was with sunderland he never experienced any attitude from the likes of drogba and joe cole and that cardiff were the worst bunch for deluded imagery of themselves that he has ever encountered.why was i not surprised when i read it?

its nice to know that certain members of our squad feel that they are the complete footballer now that they are underachieveing in the championship.

Surely anyone playing football at any level would be used to this

Even when I played on the parks we were always telling teams they weren't fit to be on the same pitch as us just to wind them up  Don't see what the problem is with this as long as they're not acting like prima donnas after the game, all's fair in love and football

suppose it depends on how far you want to go in the game,i agree it happens at lower levels but shouldnt we be looking up not down? great players/teams obviously dont need to sink to this level of unprofessionlism

Cliff Byrne is obviously very naive. It's no surprise that he would have been marking Chopra and Bothroyd who are two of the biggest mouths in football so I'd be surprised if this wasn't said. He can base an entire team on a few players.

Even at parks, as has already been said, I've had players tell me I'm not good enough to play against them. They soon shut up when they fail to skin me and end up on their ass more times than I end up on mine.

fair enough if bothroyd or chopra had ever really achieved anything
