RIDSDALE - AM I WIDE OF THE MARK [AA] ?

Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:46 am

I have said before, and maintain the view, that the so-called takeover/investment interest in our club is nothing of the kind. Ridsdale has been touting around looking for a businessman who will purchase around £3 million shares in CCFC and a knock-down price. This would enable the HMRC debt to be paid, and the 'investor' can realise a good profit if we go up, or stablise financially.

I think many would be attracted to that proposal initially, but once they get closer to the club it wouldn't take long to dawn upon them that the club is a basket case, and even with the HMRC debp paid, the liabilities are such that a return on investment is unlikely.

Having spent next year's money one has to wonder how we can carry on without any investment. We will have nothing to pay the players with if we don't sell our best ones.
