I'm forever moaning during games that we don't take enough shots during games and at times, while our build up play is fantastic, it almost seems like we try and walk the ball into the net. I know we thumped 6 goals twice this season, and we're 2nd in the Championship for most goals, but did you know we're 15th for number of shots taken. 167 on target, 126 off target and 14 have rebounded back off the woodwork. Incidently, Whittingham has taken the most of our shots (4th in league) with 40 on target, 23 off target and has hit the woodwork 4 times whilst scoring 15 goals, while Chopra (8th) has bagged 13 goals from 36 on target, 23 off target and has had 5 hit the woodwork.
Don't know if anyone cares, just thought I'd tell you.

I agree with you but also we have scored a lot of times when I've said shoot and they've passed it two or three times before scoring when the original shot I wanted only stood 50% chance of going in.
I'm not a professional footballer or manager so provided we're second in the league for goals I'm not going to complain about them not creating enough shots. I'd say we need to look at the other end of the pitch or in the spine of midfield which is where the majority of our problems come from.
