An Epitaph to a Football Gent in Cardiff: He's got to go!

“Once upon a time there was a bloke who left home and family and came to another land to apparently heal his broken image. Initially, all went well but then the image gradually begun to become tarnished once more and he fell into the trap of believing that his eloquent tongue could once more deliver him from the lion's pit as it had many times before. As my Father has said to me many times, 'A Liar (allegedly) has to have a good memory!' With every deceitful word that issued forth there came an inalienable belief that our traveller would still escape the clutches of truth.

Though I once told our traveller that he had done a good job; those days are long since gone, submerged under a cess-pit of untruths, spin and apparent self-impunity.

Now the epitaph is written miles high:

'Cardiff City is too honourable a Club to have to put up with you any longer. Be gone and be silent. You are wanted no-more.' "
