A plea for common sense and a united front

Thu Jan 28, 2010 3:24 pm

I would think that a large proportion of fans of the club (if not the vast majority) are heartily sick of the news that continues to seep out of Cardiff City , particularly over the last few days , culminating in this afternoon`s press conference where the Chairman announces he will not resign as he has the support of the board and the shareholders.

I would respectfully suggest to him that , to make such a claim , the very least he should do is actually call a meeting of all the shareholders to see if that is the case - the club have declined to set a firm date for such a meeting.

Yet I notice on here that one reaction is for some fans to criticise others for stating their (well founded) beliefs as to what might happen at the press conference - i.e. Ridsdale would go.All such a reaction does is to help the club`s management divert flack away from themselves by starting inter-fan rivalry.

Now is not the time for any such rivalries , splinter groups or petty name calling.

Now is the time for ALL fans to unite and show the club that they are one , big , powerful force whose voice WILL be heard and whose wishes WILL be taken into consideration by those running the club.

Could I therefore please urge everyone to put any squabbling to one side and get along (if possible) to the Trust open meeting on Monday evening (7.30 Duke of Clarence , Canton) so we can ALL make a contribution to the way we can put our views across in such a way that the management won`t dare to try and ignore us.

Does that message apply to Trust Board Members? If so then please have a word with the Lone Gunman who is without a doubt the worst offender
