Radio Wales just now...did anyone listen to Steve Borley?
I get the impression he was stuttering and not very optimistic. It seems the club wont pay this tax bill and are waiting till the 10th to re-organise a payment plan with the tax.

HMRC will not entertain re-organising a payment plan once a previous payment plan has not been adhered to. It will be pay up (in full) or get wound up.

According to the Echo (& for once the story seems credable) the payment of the tax bill revolves around the sale of the hotel land.
Unfortunatley the proceeds from that 'asset' was earmarked to pay of the construction of the House of Sport and not to pay off an outstanding tax bill.
The whole rescue plan now depends on the City Council's Executive allowing the sale. TBH I'm not hopful they will and you couldn't blame them if they didn't. They have already gifted millions of pounds and with 1,000 of council workers under threat of redundancy, now is not a good time to be asking or giving.

They would be likely to organise a new plan if they were in a position to pay a sum up front to get the ball rolling.
